Train Repair and Restoration
We offer repair and restoration of almost all train types. We charge $30 per hour plus parts and supplies. Most repairs cost around $50. Most repairs amount to a thorough cleaning and lubrication.
Layout design and building
We can design and build a custom train layout for your house or business. We have designed over 200 layouts since 2012 and have built or helped build approximately 180 layouts of various sizes in Z, N, HO, HO Marklin, S, and O. Some of these can be viewed in our gallery.
Custom model building, painting, and lettering
We can build, paint, or add lettering to almost any model you want. An approximate cost estimation (this is an estimator, not a calculator): $50 plus $1 per part plus $30 per color plus $30 for decals plus $30 for weathering plus size modifier: small +25, medium +50, large +75, very large (varies).
Custom 3D model design and printing
Have an idea for a new model? We can work with you to design and 3D print your idea. Design cost is $30 per hour. If the item is something we would like to use in the future, we waive the design fee. Otherwise the design belongs to you. Base cost for printing: project charge (typically $10)+ print time (typically $2 per hour)+ resin cost (typ $6/unit), + work prep time (at $30/hour).

Decoder Installation
We sell and install digital decoders. We are a Factory Authorized Dealer and Installer for Soundtraxx (DCC) and for Marklin (MfX format). We also install other brands upon request. We charge $30 an hour plus materials. Soundtraxx and Marklin decoders are discounted 20%.
